As 2024 begins, I wanted to share a little excerpt from the Ukrainian composer Viktor Kosenko’s “Dreams.”
2023 was filled with many special musical experiences and many things I’m proud of. One very special new connection this year was with Illia Ovcharenko, a fellow Ukrainian classical musician and incredible pianist – he’s the current Honens competition laureate. We had the chance to play this little encore together at the end of his solo piano recital at Ottawa Chamberfest this past July. It was a touching moment for me, and I hope you enjoy it!
